Employee Benefits

Scout HRO provides several group medical options and will administer the benefit plan selected by collecting and remitting the insurance premium, coordinating enrollments and assisting co-employees with questions and concerns.

Major Medical

Access to group health insurance finally makes sense. Scout HRO's Smart Level Funded Plan offers employers both PPO and HSA options to meet the employer's health insurance requirements. Level funded plans deliver flexibility when compared to commercial insurance, as well as cost-saving benefits.

When making benefits decisions that affect the employee base for an entire whole year it can be overwhelming. Scout HRO provides expert guidance to navigate the complex choices associated with providing employees with affordable health coverage.

Health Savings Account

Health Savings Account (HSA) is like an IRA account that is designed exclusively for covering medical expenses incurred by the HSA owner, the HSA owner's spouse along with his or her dependents.

An HSA is a tax-favored account used in conjunction with a high deductible HSA-compatible health plan which allows you to contribute funds on a pre-tax or tax-deductible basis. You may use this account to pay for eligible medical expenses. Generally, an adult who is covered with a high-deductible health plan (and has no other first-dollar coverage) may establish an HSA.

Vision

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 45 million Americans wear contact lenses to help correct their vision. Undiagnosed eye problems or poor vision can severely affect quality of life and workplace productivity. Vensure's vision insurance helps employees budget for ongoing vision care expenses, including routine eye exams, prescription glasses, and contact lenses. With established relationships nationwide, employers now have true flexibility when it comes to selecting a perfect vision plan.

Dental

Proactive dental care is an  essential component of general health and well-being. Regular dental visits and check-ups can determine and address issues before they become severe and costly. Proactive, comprehensive, and affordable dental insurance is another foundation to any good benefits package. Scout HRO continues sustaining long-rooted relationships with nationwide carriers making multiple tailored dental options accessible.

What is Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC)?

Under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), in order for a health insurance plan to qualify as providing Minimum Essential Coverage, it must a) cover the 10 Essential Health Benefits, and b) have an 'actuarial value' of at least 60%. Not sure what that means? Click here to learn more. Scout HRO will be happy to assist your company in finding the right plan.

What is an Indemnity Plan?

Generally, an Indemnity Plan is a health insurance plan which allows you to visit almost any healthcare provider you like, rather than restricting you to preferred providers. This type of plan typically gives you much greater freedom to direct your own healthcare than other health insurance options. Indemnity plans are also sometimes known as "fee-for-service" plans. Learn more here. Contact an HR Specialist at Scout HRO to see if an Idemnity Plan is right for you.
